FIRE UP THAT CRUISER!
In 1995 Roseville was chosen as the second to last stop on the nationwide Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour! The reason, as it was explained to us, was that nationally there was the popularity of Gratiot Avenue and in the car industry of Detroit. More than 10,000 residents attended a free hot Rod Magazine Power Festival in 1995, which was held at Continental Lanes in Roseville, Michigan! Families, neighbors and visitors from all over the United States gathered for a peaceful, fun filled Classic Car Show event. Since that time Classic Car Shows, Parades and Cruises have flourished on the east and west side of Detroit.
Continental Lanes held weekly classic car shows throughout the summer months until closing in late 2013 and those shows always drew a crowd. During those events there was a common question from enthusiasts that participated and patrons “When can we have a classic car cruise in in Roseville?” Well in 2013 that questioned was answered in a resounding way. The Inaugural Roseville Heritage Cruise was a huge success drawing more than 200 registered cruisers and thousands of happy viewers. We had to deal with a little wind and rain but spirits were not damped and the good times rolled just like the cars.
Our Roseville residents, corporate, and local small business owners have shown great interest in a repeat performance of the Roseville Heritage Classic Car Cruise. We are working hard to make 2016 an even bigger success so mark those calenders save the date.
The Roseville Heritage Foundation has united together with the City of Roseville’s 2nd Annual RoseFest to provide you a week filled with Car Shows, Midway, Beer Tent, Craft Shows, Fireworks and much more!
We hope to see at the 4th Annual Roseville Gratiot Cruise on June 11, 2016 Invite your family, friends and neighbors for a week filled with fun and excitement.LEARN MORE
